Licence Agreement

This Licence Agreement governs how you may use the MeterDesk software once you have bought a licence. It sits alongside our Terms and Privacy Policy. By activating or using MeterDesk you agree to it.

One activation at a time

Each MeterDesk licence may be activated and in use on one computer at a time. You are welcome to move your licence to another machine: deactivate it on the first computer, then activate it on the next. A single licence may never be active, installed for use, or running on more than one computer at the same time, and it may not be shared with, lent to, or used by anyone else. If you need MeterDesk on several machines at once, buy a licence for each.

The licence we grant

When you buy a licence we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use MeterDesk for the product you purchased (MeterDesk Audio, MeterDesk Video, or the Pro Pack), subject to the one-activation rule above. Free updates within your purchased version are included.

What you may not do

• Use a single licence on more than one computer at the same time.
• Share, sell, rent, lend, sub-license or transfer your licence or licence key.
• Publish or distribute your licence key, or use a key you did not buy.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the software beyond what the law expressly allows.
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or licensing notices.
• Work around, disable or tamper with the activation or licensing system.

Activation and verification

MeterDesk activates your licence against our licensing system, which records how many activations are in use. We may verify activations to enforce the one-at-a-time rule. If a licence is used in breach of this Agreement, for example shared or run on several machines at once, we may suspend or revoke it.

Ownership

MeterDesk is owned by BvB AudioVisueel. You own your licence to use the software, but not the software itself or any intellectual property in it. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

Updates

Updates and fixes within your purchased version are included at no extra cost. A future major version may be offered as a separate purchase.

Term and termination

Your licence is perpetual for the version you bought. It ends automatically if you breach this Agreement, in particular the one-activation rule, the no-sharing rule, or any tampering with the licensing system. On termination you must stop using MeterDesk and remove your activations.

Warranty and liability

MeterDesk is provided as is, to the extent permitted by law. Our liability for any claim arising from your licence is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

This Agreement is governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
